The city center

The vision for the city is that more people will visit the city center more often, stay longer, and experience something worth sharing. Helsingborg has a broad retail offering with both premium brands and retail chains.

The city is characterized by several smaller areas, each of which has a unique identity and a varied offering. From north to south, you can experience everything from large international brands, national chains and small local shops. The city is linked by Stadsparken, which is a green meeting place with free wifi, culture and play for young and old.

Kullagatan

At St. Jörgens Square, the entrance to Sweden’s oldest pedestrian street opens, Kullagatan, which extends to Stortorget and which in the middle gathers families with children around the playground at Konsul Olssons plats.

Gamla stan

Maria torg is Helsingborg’s restaurant square and next to the square is Bruksgatan, which is a cozy shopping street with small-scale shops and a lovely atmosphere. Together Maria torg and Bruksgatan form Gamla stan.

Drottninggatan

On Helsingborg’s parade street with large areas, people on the go coexist with those enjoying an outdoor seating area. There are restaurants, shops and salons.

Söder

Lively and young area with a focus on culture, experiences, groceries and meeting places with food from all corners of the world. The district center SöDER attracts with the newly opened Filmstaden, bowling and unique restaurants.

Norra and Södra Storgatan

A restaurant-dense street that comes alive at night with small unique concepts, well-stocked outdoor cafés and trendy bars. For those who want an experience beyond the ordinary, there are several hotels along the street. At night, the street is transformed into Helsingborg’s most important artery.

Järnvägsgatan

At Helsingborg City Hall, Järnvägsgatan and Drottninggatan form the large parade street that runs through the entire city center. Here the hustle and bustle of the city mixes with people on their way to and from Helsingborg’s modern central station, which is directly adjacent.
