Behind Art Metall’s unique lines and shapes you will find Håkan Orrling. Håkan, born in 1971, has been designing, manufacturing and distributing jewelry for over twenty years and began his career in 1989. Studies at the Goldsmith School were followed by further education at the Design School’s Institute of Precious Metals in Copenhagen. The creative inspiration is and has always been a melting pot of early hippie culture, folklore, damien, anarchism & order, now and yesterday, Siddharta, Antinomi, external and internal expeditions and Carmen Miranda’s tutti frutti hats. Between these themes, Håkan weaves in consciousness and irrationality, beauty and function, without rejecting high quality. Besides being the heart and soul of Art Metall, Håkan is also the head designer of the avant-garde jewelry brand Arild Links.
