When the cold sweeps in and the city sparkles with light, Helsingborgs stad is filled with magic. On our collection page Winter in the city, you will find everything that makes winter in the city center something special – from atmospheric theme nights to the brilliant adventure Drömljus. Here we collect current events, activities and little gems that make dark days brighter and winter a little warmer.

Wintery Saturdays

January 10 – 24

Wintery Saturdays in the city. In January, we make the weekend a little more fun with experiences for the whole family in the middle of Vinterland on Sundstorget.

January 10th – Mini disco with Shaun the Sheep, gospel music and presentation of the Small Environmental Prize. A perfect winter Saturday for the whole family.
January 17th – Try it out day. Try curling, discover the scouts and learn more about the energy of the future together with Öresundskraft. Activities for both young and old.
January 24th – Dinosaur Day with big dinosaurs, fun activities for the whole family and a big winter quiz with a secret celebrity host.

Drömljus

February 6-14

In 2026, it’s once again time for Drömljus to light up the city. In the middle of darkest February, Helsingborg is transformed into a living light festival, with colorful light installations, shimmering surprises and cozy meeting places.

Ice skating

November 30 – February 22

Take a speedy ride on the ice rink at Sundstorget! The ice rink was inaugurated on the Christmas market on November 30 and is in place until the sports holiday, all week 8. The ice rink is staffed by Helsingborg Hockey Club Youth and during staffed times you can rent skates and helmets. Read more about the ice rink’s opening hours and skate rental at the link below.

Win a Valentine's Day wedding

On Valentine’s Day, February 14, one lucky couple will have the chance to say yes to each other in perhaps Helsingborg’s most historic building – the City Hall. And the celebrations do not end there.

After the ceremony, a romantic three-course dinner awaits at CULISE, followed by a magical night in suite at The Vault Hotelwhere you can sit back and enjoy your very own wedding day.

How to compete:
Submit a motivation and tell us why you should be the winning couple.
In connection with the application, you also need to attach:
– Valid obstacle test
– Marriage certificate
– Two witnesses

The prize includes:
– Wedding in the Town Hall on February 14 at 17.00.
– Three-course dinner at CULISE in their chambre séparée (excl. drinks) for 4 people.
– An overnight stay in a suite at The Vault Hotel 14-15/2 for two persons.
– Delicious breakfast buffet.

The application is open between January 10-24. The winner will be contacted by email during week 5. The competition is in conjunction with the event Drömljus.

Gather your friends, sit down at a warm and inviting bar and enjoy good food, drinks and that cozy atmosphere that only exists in the winter darkness. Perfect way to end the day
